Early Life

Jack Ma was born on 10th September 1964 in China. He started learning English at a very early age. He faced many failures in his life since childhood and was considered as a failure guy. He used to live a demotivated life since childhood and consistently used to get away from the steps of success. But he never gave up, and to learn and practice English at the age of 9 years, he used to travel 27 kilometers on his bicycle to guide tourists, and later he became pen pals with a foreigner and got nicknamed Jack as the Chinese name, which was a bit difficult for him to pronounce.

In his adulthood too he was getting a failure at every stage of his life. The Chinese entrance exams were cleared by Mr. Jack for three years, and later he got admission to the college. He completed his graduation in BA with English honors and later wanted to start teaching the same subject, but he used to get extreme rejection from all the places where he used to go for interviews. Many other people used to get selected and many times he used to be the only person who used to face rejection. Rejection breaks the trust and self-esteem of a person. But Jack Ma never used to lose his hope.

But when the world says give up, success says to try out once, this is a bonanza. He faced failures several times since his school times. His career too was associated with failures. He always got disappointed in several places. But Mr. Jack was well versed in the English language, so later he got a job as a lecturer in a college. He also worked as a translator for some days.

Once Jack Ma heard about the Internet and wish to start his own company - Hangzhou Haibo Translation Agency. He went to America to meet his friend, where he found the Internet for the first time. He started exploring some general knowledge about China on the internet, but he found that there was no such information available on the internet. So he found a good opportunity on the internet. He visited United States with his friends and found the Internet, but he did not find any information about China. He and his friends hence decided to start a website - Ugly.

He came up with his second company - China Pages, and registered its domain in the US chinapages.com. He started building websites for different Chinese companies. He became head of the IT company which was established by China International Electronic Commerce Center, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. He made good research and decided to place the small and big businesses of China on the internet, and made a website, which was China Yellow Page, but still, he did not get any funding from this, due to which he closed the website.

Founding Alibaba

Despite facing failures consistently, he did not lose hope and again started a new website, which was Alibaba.com.

Alibaba Group was founded in 1999, by Jack Ma with the assistance of 17 other co-founders with the website Alibaba.com, which is a (B2B) business-to-business portal to connect Chinese manufacturers with international buyers.

Today, Alibaba Group Holding Limited is one of the biggest companies in China. It provides C2C, B2C, and B2C sales. It also provides other services via e-commerce web as well as offline portals. Electronic payment services, marketplace, and data-centric cloud computing are the major revenue sources.

Jack Ma has impacted the entire economy and the internet industry of China. Today, he is among the most valued person in the world.

He also founded Taobao Marketplace, Alipay, Ali Mama, and Lynx as well to improve the global E-Commerce system.

Jack Ma served as executive chairman of Alibaba Group, which holds Alibaba.com, Taobao Marketplace, Tmall, eTao, Alibaba Cloud Computing, Juhuasuan, 1688.com, AliExpress.com, and Alipay as well.

He has to face some issues in the beginning, but slowly he started getting the fruit of his efforts. Today, he comes on the list of the richest people in the world, who inspires many people.
