Early Life

It was March 26, 1973, when Larry Page was born. He was born in Lansing, Michigan. His father, Carl Victor Page Sr., earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.

His paternal grandparents came from a Protestant background, his father was a computer science professor at Michigan State University and his mother was an instructor in computer programming at Lyman Briggs College at the same institution. His background was associated with Computer technology. He has a very keen interest in reading and used to read books very carefully. He always tries to understand all the mentioned things properly. He was using the first generation personal computer at the age of 6 years and learned many things about Computer. He has a keen interest to know about anything properly.

Education

He completed his schooling at the Okemos Montessori School and completed his graduation from East Lansing High School. He pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Computer Science from Standford University.

He later pursued Ph.D., during which he was associated with research which was regarding how one website is connected with other, and how many websites are associated with the same content.

Later Mr. Surgey Brin got associated with this research and named it Blackrub, and brought - The Anatomy of a Large Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine. They both started to take efforts to give it a reality and were making a search engine that will show some websites to the users as per their search.

Exploring

Earlier in the absence of Google, people were not aware of how to use the internet, and its use was not easy to explore things on it. During that time for searching things, people used to explore things via URLs. They first needed to know the URL to search for the content they wanted. But if they were not aware of such kind of website or URL, then how they would find it? So they both took efforts to bring such websites and URLs on one platform in order to make it easy for people to search for it. They made a list of the websites that had the same content and placed it separately. They made a database with these efforts. They had a list of all the websites that had different contents.

There were many websites as per their search. So they made a page rank algorithm which was used to rank all the websites according to their importance, and the website that has more importance used to come above. And finally, they launched the initial website of Google in 1996, which was known as Blackrub. This was used by many people since that time. They both started to escalate the business and started thinking about funding and investment.

Growing Stage

Mr. Larry and Surgey Brin registered the company with the name Google, which was derived from the name - Googol which indicates digit one is followed by Hundred zeros, by which they were trying to convey that Google searches the needed website for the users from crowd of lakhs of website. Later, Mr. Larry became the CEO of the company, and Surgey Brin became the president. Gradually, it attracted the attention of more and more people and became famous.

There was time to take the company to the next level, and so the two investors of Silicon Valley Kleiner Caufield and Sequoia Capital were ready for investing in the company. But they wanted another experienced person to become CEO, and later Erics Schmidt became the new CEO of company. The company was very successful in its leadership.

Later Larry Page purchased Android and always tried the best of his efforts to make Android reach to all the people so that they can do Google searches from any place. In 2008, the company launched an Android mobile operating system, and it became the best operating system in the world. Later, Mr. Larry again became CEO of Google. The company also purchased YouTube and Gmail as well. It also purchased Google Maps, a Geospatial Data Visualization company, and Real Time Traffic Analyzer company as well. He later resigned from Google and became CEO of its parent company Alphabet Inc.
